Mobility Programs



Erasmus +
  • Exchange program with European universities with current and valid bilateral agreement; students can spend one or two semesters abroad (from 3 to 12 months in total, in one or more mobilities), during which time they may enrol in regular course subjects or work on the final project for their degree or master’s thesis (only in certain destinations).
  • The Erasmus agency pays grants of around €200/month.
  • Students may also apply for an Agaur grant from the Government of Catalonia (around €250/month).
Erasmus+  work placements
  • Program that enables students to go on work placement at any European company in the optics and optometry sector.
  • Duration: Between 3 and 6 months
  • Work placements count as optional credits on degree courses.
  • The Erasmus agency pays grants of around €500/month and some companies pay living expenses.

Iberoamerica

  • Exchange program with Ibero-American universities with which agreements are in place; students can spend one or two semesters abroad, during which time they may take regular course subjects or work on the final project for their degree or master’s thesis.
Sicue
  • Exchange program with Spanish universities with which agreements are in place; students can spend one semester at the host university, during which time they may take regular course subjects or work on their final project or master's thesis.
  • The Sicue program is currently not associated with any scholarship
  • The terms and conditions for applying to join this program are different to other programs.
