Simultaneidad de estudios

Definition of concepts

Simultaneous enrolment is the procedure that must be completed by a student who, while pursuing university studies at one institution, decides to begin new studies at another university institution without discontinuing the first programme.

Characteristics

To access the second programme of study, the student must first obtain a place through the Catalan Government's University Pre-enrolment process.

This procedure refers to simultaneous enrolment in the case of the Bachelor's Degree in Optics and Optometry. For the Master's Degree in Optometry and Vision Sciences, students do not need to complete any prior procedure if they wish to pursue several programmes at this academic level simultaneously.

Procedure and deadlines

If the institution where the student wishes to begin the new studies is the Faculty of Optics and Optometry of Terrassa, and they have obtained a place through the university pre-enrolment process, before completing their first enrolment they must:

  • If they come from another university: submit to the FOOT Academic Office the academic record transfer request from their home university (unless that institution does not process such requests).
  • If they come from another UPC programme: submit an application requesting authorisation for simultaneous enrolment. Proof of place allocation must be attached to the application.
  • Submit the documentation mentioned in the two previous points to FOOT when completing the enrolment process.
