Convalidaciones CFGS

Definition of concepts

Validation and recognition are the procedures by which subjects passed in official study plans previously taken by the student are incorporated into the academic record of a new study plan, which leads to a different, also official, degree.

Recognized/validated subjects must be enrolled in order to appear on your academic record; the price of validated credits is 20% of the official price per credit.

Characteristics

Currently, the FOOT has the following automatic validation tables in effect:

Validation of the CFGS in Lens Optics with the Degree in Optics and Optometry.

Otherwise, the FOOT carries out a personalized study of the student's request and submits a report to the UPC validation committee, which has the authority to make a final decision on the application.

Procedure: deadlines and documentation

Credit validation and/or recognition are always upon the request of the interested party, and the application must be formalized before the first enrollment in the corresponding studies.

It is necessary to submit the Application for validation from the lens optics training cycle to the center's Secretary via email at gestio.academica.foot@upc.edu or in person during opening hours, which must be accompanied by the documentation specified therein.

What to do after submitting the recognition/validation application?

Once the application is submitted, you must find out the approximate timeframe in which the center will issue the provisional resolution so you can come pick it up and modify your enrollment, if necessary. Related regulations
