CISViT Project

Cohort Infantil de Salut Visual Terrassa (CISViT) is a longitudinal epidemiological design project that provides information on the temporal evolution of all children's vision parameters between 8 and 16 years old from public and private schools in the city of Terrassa.

The main objectives of this project are:

• Prevent problems related to visual function associated with students' academic performance and determine normal thresholds for early detection of myopia.
• Address the visual needs of the most vulnerable groups through the prescription of glasses, visual therapy, and, if necessary, myopia control, through the social action program of the CUV.

The Optometry Circle of the Official College of Opticians/Optometrists of Catalonia awards a prize to the CISViT project. Check out the news here
