Enrollment for new access students
Undergraduate Students in Optics and Optometry
ADMISSION
There are two types of admission:
- Admission through the pre-registration of the Generalitat of Catalonia (within the established deadlines and conditions)

Direct access via transfer of file
REGISTRATION
Online registration (annual registration) on the days July 16 to 18 (first allocation) and July 25 and 28 (second allocation).
Once you receive the admission message to the Degree in Optics and Optometry (FOOT-UPC), we will provide the necessary information for your registration:

Register at UPC HERE

Credentials UPC (username and password): you will receive an email with your credentials to access all UPC platforms (e-Secretariat, Intranet, Atenea,...)

Access the e-Secretariat: the platform that allows you to access your file and carry out procedures related to your studies.

Validate and complete your personal data: you must fill in all mandatory data in the "My Data" sections: personal data and GDPR authorizations. Once you have completed all these data, you will be able to access all your information and other services.

Register: Registration is annual for new students at FOOT. Check the SCHEDULES. Self-registration is done at the e-secretaría. See the following explanatory video. VERY IMPORTANT: IF YOU DO NOT REGISTER IN THE ASSIGNED PERIOD, YOU LOSE YOUR SPOT. Check the day and time of your registration at e-secretaría.

Your student ID: new! The UPC student ID is digital, you only need to upload your photo to Myid

Important Information
Direct Debit/Installment Payment of Enrollment
If you want to set up direct debit/installments for your enrollment, you need to authorize the payment direct debit by completing the information in the "my personal data" section > "bank accounts", and print the SEPA order document, sign it by the account holder and/or the student, and upload the scanned document to the e-secretariat before enrollment.

START OF COURSE
September 8, 2025 (ORIENTATION SESSION: September 3rd at 12 PM)
Enrollment Modification
Change of group, subject, etc. The procedures must be carried out exclusively through the e-secretaría section, under INSTANTIANCES > requests, during the following period:
- Instances from July 15 to 26: Resolution in July.
- Instances from July 27 onwards: Resolution in September.
- IMPORTANT: Group changes for work reasons will be denied.
Depending on the method of access used to formalize the university pre-registration (detailed in the following table)
- PAU (no need to provide supporting documentation)
- EU STUDENT ACCESS WITH RECIPROCITY AGREEMENTS: Credential issued by the National University of Distance Education.
- FOREIGNERS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES: Credential issued by the National University of Distance Education.
UNIVERSITY DEGREE: No need to provide supporting documentation.
RECOGNITION
If you believe you can request recognition between university degree courses, you will need to submit the following documentation: application for validations and/or recognitions with previous university studies
CFGS/FP2 and similar: no need to provide supporting documentation.
If the CFGS/FP2 is in Optics and has validations with Degree studies in Optics and Optometry, it will be necessary to present the documentation from the link validations with Degree studies in Optics and Optometry
PAU WITH STARTED DEGREE: the transfer request must be made using the certificate issued by the original center (if the original studies are from UPC), but no documents need to be provided.

CFGS WITH STARTED DEGREE: the transfer request must be made using the certificate issued by the original center (if the original studies are from UPC), but no documents need to be provided.

- If the CFGS/FP2 is in Optics of Glasses, which has validations with the Degree in Optics and Optometry, it will be necessary to present the documentation from the link convalidations with the Degree in Optics and Optometry.
OVER 25: Certificate of having passed the university entrance exam for those over 25 years old.
OVER 40: no academic documentation needs to be presented.
OVER 45: no academic documentation needs to be presented.
